What to do at our destination/ location?

Slowly but surely Istrian truffles (tartuffi) have been making their name known in the world. Late summer, autumn and early winter are truffle finding time. Both the prized white truffle and the more common black truffle are commonly found in Istria.

According to Vinistra (Association of Wine makers of Istria) it is all about the SOIL. The varying soil colour, from a deep red in coastal areas to white in the interior, enriches the wine making process and creates the fine white Malvazija and deep red Teran wines that Istria is famous for.

Parenzana, the route of the former railroad has been turned into a real attraction for hikers and bycicle riders. If you walk or cycle at least over a part of its 78 km route, you will be touched by its tunnels, bridges and viaducts, as well as by its fascinating woodlands and picturesque small towns at the top of the hills among whose town walls you can taste some most delicious regional specialties.

Pula

One of the most beautiful sights in Istria is the impressive port city of Pulain the south of the peninsula. The highlight is the extremely charming old town with countless historical attractions, above all the Roman amphitheater , which is even considered one of the symbols of Istria. Strolling through the enchanting stone streets, you can enjoy genuine Croatian flair, eat in small pretty restaurants or treat yourself to a glass of wine in one of the beautiful, rustic town squares . But the area around Pula is also absolutely worth seeing and offers countless possibilities for excursions and activities.

Brijuni National Park

A popular destination in Istria is the Brijuni National Park , near the resort of Fazana . It is an archipelago of 14 islands or islets, which has been a nature reserve since 1983. Daily excursion boats and a ferry bring visitors to the largest island, Veli Brijun. Here you can visit some highlights, such as the local safari park with llamas and zebras, a bird sanctuary in the south of the island and interesting archaeological sites. The approximately 24-kilometer-long bicycle network is also really nice and invites you to go on long bike tours .

Porec

The town of Porec is a real highlight and one of the most beautiful places in Istria. The romantic old town, which is located on a small peninsula and is surrounded by a picturesque promenade , is particularly enchanting. In the city center there are some wonderful sights, some of which date back to Roman times, which are mostly located in picturesque historical places. One of the main attractions of the coastal town is the beautiful Euphrasian Basilica , which has even been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In addition, the resort is a true paradise for bathers . Not far from the old town, there are fantastic beaches in Porec that are ideal for a seaside holiday!

Kamenjak Nature Park

One of the most beautiful day trip destinations in Istria is Cape Kamenjak , a stunning nature reserve on the outskirts of the resort town of Premantura. The highlight of the park is the impressive 30 km long, rugged coastline, where the most spectacular cliffs in the entire region are located. In addition, countless hiking trails and bicycle routes lead through the park along a fantastic landscape. On the way you visit a small dinosaur trail and take a break in a really cool safari bar with an adventure playground. The many small, hidden bays and beaches , which are among the most beautiful in Istria, are also beautiful.

Top gepflegtes sauberes Grundstück. Sehr ruhige Lage. Haus war mit Navi einfach zu finden. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und nächste Stadt schnell und einfach zu erreichen. Sehr netter, hilfsbereiter Hausverwalter (hat sich ein paar mal erkundigt ob alles in Ordnung ist). Unkomplizierter Kontakt zu den Eigentümern und dem Hausverwalter. Pool, Whirlpool und Sauna alles in Top Zustand und sauber. Jedes der 4 Zimmer hatte einen Balkon und ein großzügiges Badezimmer.
